Drilled side instrument panel brackets
While I had the canopy frame off I drilled the side brackets for the instrument panel to the fuselage. I used a straight edge to be sure the panel was flat across the center ribs. I used the vans stock panel to place these brackets BEFORE I cut off the center ribs and reposition them. That way I know the panel is properly located even after I have modified the ribs for the custom cut panel.
